more about me.

When I think about the types of clients I tend to work with, it's not a specific demographic— it's a type of person. Creatives, entrepreneurs, nerds, and multi-passionate, poetic souls. People who are doing their best to hold on to a sense of wonder, despite whatever traumas have marked their hearts.

I'm inviting you to show up as you are.

Maybe that means you've been suffering for a long time, stuck in endless cycles of grief. Maybe that means you're mostly content, but looking for a way to better understand yourself and your relationships. Maybe you're feeling totally, completely lost. Therapy can help. But first, we have to become brave explorers, navigating the unruly terrain of heart + mind, all while gathering the courage to look at the parts of ourselves we normally dare not show. We learn to be patient with ourselves & others. And slowly, over time, we learn to change.

I'm a clinical social worker (#139616) who has had anything but a traditional path. I never planned to be a therapist, but instead came to the field through environmental policy and non-profit work. Looking back, I see that pursuing social work was an attempt to reconcile the intellectual, driven part of myself with the softer, more wounded part that had experienced a chaotic early life, and had tried to heal through all sorts of meditation, therapy, and a quest to find God. As I write this, it's clear that this is also what I help others to do: reconcile parts of themselves that feel like they can't possibly work together.

Sometimes the work is messy, and deeply painful. So we try to get through session with as much humor and gentleness as we can muster.

In addition to being a therapist, I’m also a person! Outside session you can find me hanging out with my dog & cat, working on creative projects, cooking, and/or reading manga (because childhood hobbies should never die!).
